Obituary Online notes for Harriet Virginia YARBROUGH
Mrs. Harriet Virginia Yarbrough Pleasant, 49, of Collinwood Dr. died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday in Duke Hospital following three days of critical illness. A native of Person County, she was a private piano teacher and the daughter of Mrs. Mabel S. Yarbrough and the late Otha Roger Yarbrough. Member Davis Street United Methodist Church, the LMW. choir, burtington Music Club and past President of the Alamance County Music Teachers Association. Survivors include: husband. Thomas B. Pleasant of the home; daughters. Mrs. Cynthia P. Wright of Burlington and Miss Denise Gayle Pleasant of the home; son Jack Pleasant of Pittshoro: sisters. Mrs. Elsie Newton of Hurdle Mill, Miss Louise Yarbrough of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mrs. Rachel Duncan of Cary; mother. Mrs Mable S. Yarbrough of Cary: brother Fred W. Yarbrough of Richmond, Va.; one grandchild. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Davis Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. R.E.L. Moser, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will be at Rich and Thompson Morturary in Burlington from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and at other times will be at the residence, 224 Collinwood Dr.
