Obituary Online notes for “Bill” William Lee BURNS

WILLIAM BILL BURNS PASSED AWAY unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, December 20, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26 at Forbis & Dick Guilford Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday.

Bill was born and raised in Burlington, graduated from Williams High School, went to ACC and graduated with an associate's degree. Bill moved to Greensboro in 1973 and started working in the trucking Industry. He was most recently with Truck Pro. Bill was a very loving husband, father, brother and son. He loved riding his Harley and taking bike trips with Marty and working on his Cadillac. They were partners in everything. Bill was a selfless motivator, an inspiration of the heart, a hard worker and a teacher of life. His unconditional love for his family and friends will always be remembered.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Burns, and his brother, Rick Burns.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marty; mother, Florence Wilkins; daughter, Anne Marie Paine (Jason); son, Eric Burns (Jenny); sister, Lynn B. Durham (Barry); nephew, Keith Rudd (Sherry), and nieces, Everly Burns and Crystal Stines.
