Florence Burns Wilkins
BURLINGTON – Mrs. Florence Burns Wilkins, 92, of Burlington, died on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Granville County, she was the wife of the late Robert O. Wilkins and was the daughter of Lester H. Davis and Cornelia Cozart Davis, both deceased.
She retired from H.E. Wilson Industries and was a member of Burlington Assembly of God.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn (Barry) Durham; her sister, Alene Pulliam; five grandchildren; and eleven greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard T. Burns; two sons, Richard E. Burns and William L. Burns; four sisters, Merritt Wilkins, Delma Compton, Frances Munday, and Daphne Gravely; and one brother, Hassell Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Burlington Assembly of God with Rev. Howard Thompson officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church and at other times will be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Burlington Assembly of God, 821 Tucker Street, Burlington, NC 27215.
Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is assisting the family.
