FUNERAL FOR MR. ISLEY HELD
Mr. J. W. H. Isley, who died Monday at his home near Friendship, was buried Wednesday afternoon, the funeral being held at 2 o'clock in Friendship church by Rev. J. Elwood Carroll, assisted by Rev. D. I. Offman, and interment made in the church yard by Rich & Thompson.
Music was furnished by the church choir, assisted by Mr. J. B. Turner. There was a crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives that more than filled the church. The floral designs were numerous and beautiful, and these bore testimony in a small way to the prominence of Mr. Isley, who had been one of the church leaders, and teacher of the men's Bible class for many years.
Pallbearers were Messrs. Chas Wilson, Curry and Claude May, Ernest Anderson, Early Edwards and Kearney Overman. The flowers were carried by Misses Thelma May, Era Smith, Blondie Sharp, Bertha May, Lottie Gray Overman, Dorothy and Lence May, Cordie Hart, Fanny Holt, Donnie Andrews, Vera Anderson and Brunette Edwards. 3, John William Harrison Isley
