Pauline E. (Paula) Sommars, age 85, of Sunrise Beach, passed away Saturday evening, February 21, 2004 at the Laurie Care Center. She was born April 9, 1918 in Huntsville, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Mary Evans Isley. She was united in marriage on August 27, 1959 with Harold D. Sommars, who preceded her in death on August 23, 1993. She is survived by one son, Gary Brown of Claremore, Oklahoma; two brothers, Loyd Isley of Sunrise Beach, and Charles Isley of Santa Monica, California; one sister, Bonnie McCulley of Sunrise Beach; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Clifford Isley. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie, with Rev. Dave Westbrook officiating. Vocal selections of "Amazing Grace", "Sweet Bye & Bye" and "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder" were sung. Interment was in Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery in Laurie.
