The Rev. Tommy Richardson Sr.
BURLINGTON — The Rev. Tommy Richardson Sr., age 65, of 1810 Springhill Drive, went home to be his Lord and Savior at 3:55 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Lucille Lowe Richardson and the son of the late Joel and Cathleen Allred Richardson. He was employed by Hartford Steam Boiler for 20 years. Following graduation from Piedmont Bible College, he received a Doctor of Divinity and a Doctor of Laws from Emmanuel Baptist University. He pastored churches in this area since 1974, serving as pastor of Bible Baptist Church for the last 20 years. He was a member of the Board of Directors for Piedmont Rescue Mission, Grace Haven Ministries, Second Chance Ranch and Alamance Baptist Missions Conference. His hobbies included street rods and tractor pulling.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Lowe Richardson; a daughter, Lisa R. Isley and husband, Kendall, of Haw River; a son, Buddy Richardson and wife, Robin, of Burlington; a granddaughter, Karen Richardson; a brother, Clint Richardson of Burlington; and a sister, Jo Ellen Santa and husband, Tom, of Burlington.
The funeral will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Bible Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Love. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Interment services will be private.

Deacons, trustees and area ministers are asked to sit as honorary pallbearers at the funeral service.
