Iris Stanfield Sharpe

November 15, 1928 ~ July 19, 2020 (age 91)

Iris Stanfield Sharpe, 91, of Graham, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Alamance County. Mrs. Sharpe was the wife of the late William Dalton Sharpe and the daughter of William Lewis
Stanfield and Mary Pickard Sharpe, both deceased.

Iris retired from Pickett Hosiery Mill. She was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church and a longtime volunteer with Hospice.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Overman and husband Ron of Graham; her son, Drew Sharpe and wife Brenda of Graham; four grandchildren, Melissa Johnson and husband Paul, Crystal King and husband Ronnie, David Sharpe and wife Santanna and Donna Jan Severo and husband Jorge; two greatgrandchildren, Cody and Connor Johnson, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sharpe was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christie Beth Sharpe; seven sisters, Lillian S. Neese, Ione S. Neese, Edith S. Clark, Irene S. Thompson, Frances Elizabeth Stanfield, her twin, Doris S. Holt, Hilda S. Isley; and two brothers, James Stanfield and Jack Stanfield.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 . at 2:00 pm at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the staff at Alamance House and the staff at Hospice Home for all the wonderful care given to Mrs. Sharpe.
