Esther Sharpe Richardson
GRAHAM — Mrs. Esther Sharpe Richardson, 77, of 3579 Rogers Road, Graham, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 12:35 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of James A. Richardson, who survives, and the daughter of Alvis A. Sharpe and Mary Alma Graves Sharpe, both deceased. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Alamance County School System. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donna Sue Snyder and husband, Steve, of Columbia, Tenn., and Mrs. Paula Annette Izaquirre and husband, Horacio, of Tavernier, Fla.; two sons, Mr. Ronald Reid Richardson and wife, Juanita, of Bear Creek, N.C. and Mr. James Wilbert Richardson and wife, Evelyn, of Rougemont, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Brenda Stafford of Graham, N.C. and Mrs. Eudell Matthews and husband, Richard, of Hunt Valley, Md.; one brother, Mr. W. Dalton Sharpe and wife, Iris, of Graham; 10 grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. Norine Clapp.
The funeral will be conducted at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Robert Shelton. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham on Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m., and at other times they will be at the residence.
