Mr. C.M. “Buddy” Moore


    BURLINGTON — Mr. C.M. “Buddy” Moore, 70, of 1324 Kirkpatrick Road, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro following six months’ failing health.

    A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Sandra May Moore, who survives, and son of the late Charlie A. Moore and Swannie Elizabeth Moser Moore.

He was owner of McPherson Hardware, a member of St. Mark’s Church, Bula Masonic Lodge #409 A.F. & A.M., Crime Stoppers Board of Directors and a former member of the E.M. Holt Volunteer Fire Department.

    Surviving, other than his wife, of the home, are two sons, Charles Nolan Moore and wife, Lynn, and Leonard Neil Moore and wife, Tonya, all of Burlington; four grandchildren, Jacob Nolan Moore, Beverly Michelle Moore, Christopher Neil Moore and Jason Patrick Moore; and one sister, Edith Duck,of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carlene Baird and Libby Allred, and a brother, Cecil York.

    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Robert M. Disher Jr., and the Rev. Ben Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.

    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening and at other times at the residence.
