Mrs. Wanda  Darliene Morene 


    GRAHAM — Mrs. Wanda  Darliene Morene , 57, of 524 Marshall St., Apt. L, died Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
    A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Henson Morene  Sr. and the late Lula Atkins Morene . She was a former employee of Archdale Fuel Stop and later did mail order for J.R. Tobacco. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as the church organist.
    Mrs. Morene  is survived by two daughters, Latashia L. Gray and her husband, Larry, of Haw River and Kelly L. Tuggle and her husband, Justin, of Gibsonville; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Perkins, Logan Tuggle and Scarlett Tuggle; her former husband and lifelong friend, Alvin W. Little of Gibsonville; two sisters, Verna Flowers of North Myrtle Beach and Decala Pike and her husband, Gary, of Burlington; three brothers, Howard Morene  of Greensboro, the Rev. Billy Morene  and his wife, Lorene, of Gibsonville and Jerry Morene  and his wife, Melinda, of Winston-Salem; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Lewis Morene  Jr., Henry H. Morene  and Joe J. Morene .
    The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Tabernacle Baptist Church by the Rev. Norman Fargis and the Rev. Billy Morene . Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her sister, Decala Pike, 707 Westridge Road, Burlington.
