Elon – Dennis Wayne Turner, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 10, 2020, one day shy of his birthday.  A native of Alamance County, he was born January 11, 1961 to Priscilla Bradshaw McCant and the late James Carlton Turner and was the husband of 37 years to Patricia Dawn Carter Turner.
Dennis was a member of Straightway Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, the mountains and was an avid Duke Blue Devils and Tennessee Volunteers fan. Dennis was very family oriented. His pride and joy was his only granddaughter, Nova and his daughter, Stephanie.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Patricia Turner; daughter, Stephanie Dawn Turner and significant other, Brian; granddaughter, Nova Delilah Richardson; mother, Priscilla McCant and his one and only sister-in-law, Mary Greeson.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Turner; paternal grandparents, Jake and Betty Turner and maternal grandparents, Albert and Myrtle Bradshaw.
A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00AM on Tuesday at Straightway Baptist Church by Pastor Jimmy Bledsole with the burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at his mother’s home.
