Ronald Wade Moore Sr.
ELON — Ronald Wade Moore Sr., 64, of 3948 Osceola Road, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 10, 2005.
He was born in Alamance County, son of the late Josh John Moore and the late Alma Sutton Moore Gilliam, and was married to Layfoy Walker Moore , who survives.
He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, and was a well-known businessman in the Ossipee community for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife of the home; son, Pastor Ron Moore Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Elon; daughters, Kimberly Moore Pegg and her husband, Don, of Burlington, Lisa Moore Overman and her husband, Tray, of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Brandon and Sarah Moore , Bethany and Hannah Pegg, and Brittney Overman; sisters, Ruth Rainey of Burlington and Shirley Mize of Elon; and a brother, Rev. Jerry Moore of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry Moore .
The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Bethlehem Christian Church by Pastor Dave Gilbert, Pastor Ron Moore Jr., and Pastor Don Pegg.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:15 p.m. prior to the service at the church, and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
