Layfoy Walker Moore
ELON, N.C. — Layfoy Walker Moore, 74, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Dec. 3, 2013, at Edgewood Place in Burlington.
Layfoy was born in Alamance County, N.C. She was a member of People’s Memorial Christian Church and attended Ossipee Baptist Church. Layfoy and her husband, Ronald Sr., were well-known business people in the Ossipee area for 27 years.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Wade Moore Jr. of Elon, Kimberly Moore Pegg (Donald) of Burlington and Lisa Moore Overman (Tray) of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Sarah Moore, Bethany Pegg Fearnow, Hannah Pegg, Brittney Overman Greeson and Jon-Austen; great-grandson, Camden Greeson; brothers, Jimmy Walker and Gene Walker and her twin brother, Leroy Walker; and sister, Linda Britt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Wade Moore Sr.; parents, Willie and Roberta Page Walker; sisters, Marie Shambley, Elizabeth Eten and Naomi Coleman; and brothers, Thomas Workman, Robert Workman and Lewis Workman.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at 3 p.m. in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be the Rev. Don Pegg and the Rev. Jason Wilkerson. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour. At other times they will be at the residence of Donald and Kimberly Pegg, 910 W. Old Glencoe Road, Burlington, N.C.
