OBITUARY
Mrs. Juanita Stevens Shatterly, 90, of Burlington passed away at Edgewood Place on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 8:49 p.m.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Harold Lynn Shatterly and the daughter of the late Herbert Vance Stevens and the late Clifford Mack and Inez Routh Witherow. She was formerly employed with Brown Wooten Mills. Mrs. Shatterly was a member of Christian Bible Fellowship.
Survivors include her son, Eddie L. Shatterly and wife Dianne of Burlington; grandsons, Geoff Shatterly and Greg Shatterly and wife Amy, all of Burlington; great-grandchildren, Logan Chatman and William Shatterly; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Witherow of Burlington; sister, Marla Stevens Hilliard and numerous nieces and nephews. Juanita had a brother, Dillard M. Witherow, who passed away just hours after her death.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Larry Lamberth. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Village at Brookwood and Edgewood Place for the care given to Juanita. 3
