Sylvia Rudd Shoe, 89, passed away on Wednesday, November 30 at Home Place of Burlington.  She was born in Alamance County to the late Isaac Wilson “Ike” Rudd and Helen Smith Rudd, and was married to the late John Anderson Shoe, Sr.
   She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and was a former employee of J. Spencer Love and Kayser-Roth.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, nanny, and great nanny who truly enjoyed spending time with her family.
   She is survived by her son, John Anderson “Ande” Shoe, Jr. and his wife, Mary Shanklin Shoe; daughter, Celeste J. Shoe; grandchildren, Paige Nicole Nixon and husband, Jay, Lindsey Grey Jeffries and husband, Brad; great grandchildren, Riley, Ryan, Rhett, and Rowen Nixon, Evan and Addie Jeffries; sister, Symthie Rudd Tysor; sister-in-law, Barbara Shoe Saunders and nieces and nephews. 
   A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Pine Hill Cemetery by Rev. Gary Williams.  She will be available for public viewing on Friday from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
   The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the staff at Home Place and Palliative Care at AuthoraCare Collective.
