AUGUST 21, 1932 ~ JANUARY 16, 2019 (AGE 86)
Dillard Mack Witherow, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born August 21, 1932 in Randolph County to the late Clifford Mack and Inez Routh Witherow and was married to JoAnn Witherow for fifty years after his first wife Jean Witherow passed away.
Dillard served in the U.S. Army and retired from Pet Dairy and then worked for the City of Burlington for seventeen years.
He was a member of Christian Bible Fellowship and enjoyed fishing and spending time in his wood working shop. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife; children, LeeAnn (Mike) Brumble, Tim (Linda) Witherow, Patty (Bill) Sprague, Joel (Shannon) Witherow, Joseph (Elizabeth) Witherow; grandchildren, Laurin (James) Underwood, Justin Brumble and fiancé Amanda Parleir, Heather (Isaac) Fahnrich, Bekah (Caleb) Frye, Catherine Witherow, Jacob Dietrich, Sydney Dietrich, Megan Webb and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, parents, a daughter Rebecca Jean Witherow and a sister Juanita Shatterly.
The funeral will be held at 12 noon Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bruce Readling, Pastor Randy Kidd, and special friend Blair Thompson. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 10:45 - 11:45 AM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory prior to the funeral service and at other times at the home. [24009]

GRAHAM – Jo Ann Mitchell Brafford Witherow, 82, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born January 18, 1937 in Leaksville (Eden), North Carolina to Rufus Johnson and Irene Ellington Mitchell. She was married to Ronald Lee Brafford for 16 years and then to Dillard Mack Witherow for 50 years. She worked at Kayser Roth and was a dog groomer for years. She was a member of Christian Bible Fellowship. She enjoyed flowers and taking care of her yard and known to everyone as Maw Maw. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Maw Maw will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, LeeAnn (Mike) Brumble, Tim (Linda) Witherow, Patty (Bill) Sprague, Joel (Shannon) Witherow, Joseph (Elizabeth) Witherow; grandchildren, Laurin (James) Underwood, Justin Brumble and fiancé Amanda Parleir, Heather (Isaac) Fahnrich, Bekah (Caleb) Frye, Catherine Witherow, Jacob Dietrich, Sydney Dietrich, Megan Webb and five great grandchildren and her special fur child Lucy. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands and her parents.
The family would like to thank caregiver Denise Edwards, Stephanie and the care team at the Hospice Home of Alamance/ Caswell.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 8 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory from 6 pm - 8 pm and at other times at the home of Tim Witherow.
