Vannie Baldwin Busick

February 24, 1922 ~ April 27, 2021 (age 99)

Vannie Baldwin Busick, 99, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Guilford County and the daughter of the late Stiner and Minnie Brown Baldwin.

Vannie was a faithful wife, a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a grateful great grandmother and great great grandmother.  She was a hardworking homemaker and was always putting up vegetables for her family during the summers. She was the oldest member of Apple’s Chapel Christian Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Class.  In times past, she and Leo were in charge of the youth.  The hardest thing that she had to give up was cooking for her family.

Vannie is survived by her husband of 77 years, Leo Busick; four children:  Becky May and husband, Ronald, Thomas Busick, Terry Busick and wife, Patricia, and Linda Sue Richtarik and husband, John; ten grandchildren:  Michelle Young (Chip), Wendy Foster (Rick), Amy Turner (Jesse), Crystal Church (Ryan), Brian Busick (Brandi), Josh Busick, Damien Busick, Kim Richtarik, John Richtarik (Jamie), and Ashley Richtarik; and fifthteen great grandchildren: Delaney, Dylan, Lauren, Lindsey, June, Austin, Caleb, Jude, Gideon, Levi, Jenna, Emma, Jade, Carson, and Leah; and one great great grandchild, Roman Wagoner.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Busick; brothers: Shirlie Baldwin and Arthur Baldwin; a sister, Bertha Baldwin; and a great grandchild, Taylor Foster.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 3:00pm at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 2:00 till 3:00 PM. Family and Friends may come by the funeral home on Saturday, May 1st from 11:00 AM till 4:30 PM to view and sign the register book.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Apple’s Chapel Christian Church, 7345 NC 61 North, Gibsonville, NC 27249 and/or Authoracare Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
