BURLINGTON – Mr. Larry Davis Apple, 75, of 314 Watson Drive, Burlington died at the Hospice Home in Burlington on Saturday, September 17, 2016 following a lengthy illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Janet Marie Ingram Apple, who survives and the son of Carl Davis Apple and Tyvola Tickle Apple, both deceased.
Mr. Apple was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from Burlington Industries.
He was a member of Carolina Christian Church, the Alamance Wildlife Club and the American Legion #427 A.F. & A.M. in Haw River.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include three sons, Larry Davis Apple, Jr. of Burlington, Joseph Wayne Apple and wife Lisa of Mebane and Timothy Lee Apple and wife Lisa of Haw River; eight grandchildren, Larry Davis Apple, III, Dylan Carl Apple, Robert Dalton Apple, Donovan Carey Apple, Joseph Michael Apple, Kyle Daniel Apple, Katelyn Nicole Apple and Logan Paul Apple; four great-grandchildren, Payton, Layla, Joseph and Sarah; brother, Wayne Apple; and sister, Jo Carol Helms and husband Clyde.
The funeral service will be conducted at Carolina Christian Church on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. by Rev. Mark Mitchell.
Burial will follow in Carolina Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Other times they will be at the home of a son, Larry Davis Apple, Jr., 2230 Carolina Road, Burlington, NC.
