OBITUARIES Mrs. Tyvola Tickle Apple
GRAHAM — Mrs. Tyvola Tickle Apple , 82, of 2230 Carolina Road, Burlington, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006 at the UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after three years of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was retired from Browns Hosiery and was a member of the Carolina Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Carol Helms and husband, Clyde, of Southport, N.C.; two sons, Larry Apple and wife, Janet, and Wayne Apple and wife, Faye, all of Burlington; a sister, Hazel Johnson of Burlington; five grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Davis Apple ; her parents, Joseph Redman "JR" Tickle and Mary Boggs Tickle; and a sister, Carlene Roney.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 at the Carolina Christian Church by the Rev. Mark Mitchell.
Burial will be in Carolina Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham this evening from 6 until 8 and other times at the residence.
