Leary Ruaine "Rue" Riley
BURLINGTON — Mr. Leary Ruaine "Rue" Riley , 58, of 1319 Greenwood Drive, Burlington, died at the Hospice and Palliative Care Home of Burlington on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 10:45 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mary P. Riley , who survives, and the son of the late Leary Samuel "Sam" Riley and Oma Holt Riley , who survives. He was a graduate of East Carolina University and an avid fan and collector of ECU and other university memorabilia. He retired as the owner and operator of College Station Custom Framing. He was a member of Beverly Hills United Church of Christ.
In addition to the wife of the home and the mother of Graham, survivors include one stepson, Kirk Katzburg and wife, Kathy, of Forest Hills, N.Y.; one sister, Marca R. Councilman and husband, Bruce, of Graham; and two nieces, Christal Reeves and husband, Chris, of Graham and Kelly LaTour and husband, Bobby, of Efland.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 1p.m. by the Rev. Rosser Clapp.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service, and at other times they will be at the residence.
