Burlington – William Henry Moore, 90, passed away Wednesday March 20, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 29, 1928 in Rockingham County to the late Mallie Roney and Betty Sue Alcon Moore, and was married to the late Lucy Pearl Fogleman Moore who died in 2011. He was a retired sheet metal worker and was a US Army veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his children; Brenda Hensley, Janis (Jesse) Chastain, Dale (Terri) Moore and Terry (Robin) Moore; 8 grandchildren; Fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Pearl Fogleman Moore; son, William “Moe” Keith Moore and parents, Mallie Roney and Betty Sue Alcon Moore and three sisters and six brothers.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Geoff LaLone with interment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday, March 22, 2019 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Liberty Home Care and Hospice, his caregiver, Becky with premier home care and the VA home based care for all their kindness and support.
