Georgia Florine McKinney Dixon, age 94, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Rockingham County after a brief decline in health.
She was born on June 23, 1926 and was a native of Caswell County. She was the daughter of the late William Andrew McKinney and Maude Ellen Boswell McKinney.
Florine is survived by her son Neal Bennett Dixon and wife Barbara of Burlington, her daughter Paula Dixon Horner and husband John, of Elon. She will, in heaven, reunite with her late husband Paul Bennett Dixon and their infant son Paul Bennett Dixon Junior.
Our family would like to thank Steve and his staff at Cedar Ridge Retirement Community for providing such a wonderful home for her in her golden years and helping her along the way as she needed it. She said she lived with her friends and that she did. Thank you Patricia and your Life at Home Senior Care staff for being so helpful and caring. Thank You to the caring and supporting staffs at ARMC and at Hospice House of Rockingham for your tender and compassionate care.
A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. by Anna Gail Workman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County.
