Faye Inge Hartley
SNOW CAMP – Faye Inge Hartley, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Alamance Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born in Alamance County on August 13, 1945 to the late Berkley Howard and Mattie Saul Inge and was the wife of 28 years to Charles Hartley of the home.
Faye, affectionately known as “WaWa”, was a longtime member of People’s Memorial Christian Church.
She worked for many years at the Department of Defense and later as a tour guide for Holiday Tours. Faye loved traveling and enjoyed spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Our hope and promise is that we will all be reunited one sweet day in Heaven.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Hartley; two daughters, Lori Whitley Watson and Lisa Whitley Alcon and husband Barry; grandchildren, Matthew Alcon and wife Victoria, Lauren Newton and husband Justin, Leslie Alcon, Whitley Watson, Erika Watson, Katy Star Watson; great grandsons, Jase and Jax Newton; sister, Joyce Walker and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob and Ken Inge.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John Shields and Pastor Gary Williams with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the daughter, Lisa’s home at 2251 Stoney Creek Church Rd., in Burlington.
