Mr. Alton  Taylor Riggan 


    BURLINGTON — Mr. Alton  Taylor Riggan , 65, of 820 S. Sellars Mill Road, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at his home.
    A native of Granville County, he was retired owner and operator of Riggan  Trucking, a member of the Seniors Bowling League and an avid car enthusiast. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Hawfields Presbyterian Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Betty Ross Riggan  of the home; a daughter, Lynn Rashid and husband Brian, of Wake Forest; mother, Docia Setzer Riggan  of Graham; four brothers, Jim Riggan  and wife Lyn, of Williamsburg, Va.; Tommy Riggan  of Graham, Wayne Riggan  and wife Judy, of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Larry Riggan  and wife Sandy, of Aberdeen; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Taylor Riggan .
    The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday, July 13, 2007, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Dr. Curtis Fussell. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
    The family will receive friends at Mc-Clure Funeral Home Friday from 11 a.m. until service time, and at other times at the residence.
