Mr. Gary Wayne Tickle
Haw River — Mr. Gary Wayne Tickle, 55, of 4804 Salem Church Road, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Brenda Paris Tickle, who survives, and the son of Mrs. Alyse Brown Tickle, who survives, and the late Mr. James V. Tickle Jr.
He was employed by Vocational Trades of Alamance and was a member of the Association of Retarded Citizens. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the S.M.I. Group, the New Disciples Sunday School Class and a former member of the Celebration Singers.
Survivors other than his wife of the home and mother of Burlington include four sisters, Mrs. Linda Carole Van Fleet, and Mrs. Sylvia Harris, both of Burlington, Ms. Rena Crumpler of Elon College and Mrs. Bette Anderson of Greenville, S.C.; and step-grandmother, Mrs. Maurine Brown of Burlington.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Salem United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jeff Arthurs, pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. 470, Gary Wayne Tickle
