BURLINGTON — Shane “Big Daddy” Gerringer, 59, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at his residence.
He was a native of Alamance County, retired from Glen Raven Mills and a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Bright and June Carole Sykes Gerringer.
He is survived by his wife, Connie McCormick Gerringer, of the home; daughter, Caley Hannah Gerringer, of the home; brother, Bryan Gerringer and wife Sherri of High Point; and niece, Casey Lynn Gerringer of High Point.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will beconducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Glen Raven Baptist Church by the Rev. Bobby Fann. The family will receive friends at the church from 3 until 4 p.m. Saturday before the service.
