BURLINGTON — Mrs. June Sykes "Pud" Gerringer, 73, of 529 N.C. 87 North, Burlington, died at her residence on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Allen B. Gerringer and the daughter of Wilmer James Sykes and Adelle Coleman Sykes, both deceased. She retired from Lawrence Industries. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Welcome Bible Class since 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. Shane Gerringer and wife, Connie of Burlington and Mr. Bryan Gerringer and wife, Sherri of High Point; a sister, Mrs. Lala Deane Dark of Siler City; a brother, Mr. William F. "Pete" Sykes of Graham; and two grandchildren, Caley Gerringer and Casey Gerringer.
The funeral will be conducted at New Hope Baptist Church on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Randy Hobbs. Burial will follow in Shallow Ford Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
