ELON COLLEGE — Mrs. Juanita Chrismon Ireland, 76, of 2211 Broken Arrow Lane, died : at 3:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 1998, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of Mr James Henry Ireland Sr, who survives, and the daughter of Mr George Edward Chrismon and Mrs. Laura Michael Chrismon, both deceased. She was retired form Lorillard Tobacco Co., in Greensboro. She was a member of Senior Citizens of Gibsonville and Gibsonville United Methodist Church. Survivors other than her husband of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Delores Ireland Poster of Burlington; two sons, Mr James Ireland Jr. of Raleigh and Mr Ronald Ireland of Elon College; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mr Harland Chrismon and Mr Ezra Chrismon; and two sisters. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Gibsonville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Hobart Isley, retired minister, and the Rev. Thomas Perkins, associate minister of Gibsonville United Methodist Church. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Entombment will be in Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at Lowe Fineral Home from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of North Carolina, Mid-State Region, PO.
