Obituary Online notes for Rev. Henry Lee REESE
Son of Mary E. Evans and David C. Reese. Following is obituary from the Greensboro News & Record (NC) - Thursday, February 27, 2003:

MCLEANSVILLE Reverend Henry Lee Reese, 79, of the McLeansville community, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Funeral services for Rev. Reese will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Twin Oaks Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

He was a native of Guilford County. Rev. Reese graduated from Peoples Bible College, where he began his ministry as an evangelist. He later became an ordained minister in the Western North Carolina Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in the mid 40s. He served churches in North Carolina, Southern Virginia and East Tennessee. Before going into the ministry, he was an evangelist. Rev. Reese served as a pastoral minister in Erwin, Tenn., Peniel, Lexington, Siler City, Lincolnton, Hollys Chapel, Mt. Pleasant, Mt. Airy, East Marion and South Henderson, and South Boston, Va.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Wilkins Reese, formerly of Mayodan, sister, Edna Jenkins and brothers, Glenn Reese, Rifton "Buck" Reese and D.C. Reese, Jr., all of McLeansville.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Janice Reese Neal of Kernersville; one son, Fredrick Lee Reese and wife, Vickie, of Asheville; two sisters, Mildred Spillman and Louise Moore of McLeansville; one brother, Gordon Reese of McLeansville; three grandchildren, Heather, Christian and Timothy Reese.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Chapel.
