Jack Ronald Bradley

BURLINGTON - Mr. Jack Ronald Bradley, age 86, of Burlington, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, November 18, 2019 surrounded by his loving family as he was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and transitioned to his eternal home in heaven. There he was reunited with the love of his life for 64 years, Mrs. Shirley Ann Jordan Bradley, who passed away in 2015 and whom he dearly missed every day they were parted.
Born in Guilford County, he was the son of the late David Vernon Bradley, Sr. and the late Nina Belle Teague Bradley. He retired from Western-Electric in Burlington and enjoyed every minute of his retirement after working hard for more than 30 years. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was strong in his Christian faith and attended Lamb’s Chapel in Haw River. Jack was a great man in the eyes of his family and friends. He was always kind and putting others before himself. Jack loved fishing and kept a scrapbook of all the big bass he caught. He was able to go fishing up until a few weeks before his passing. He was no longer able to enjoy the lake in his boat but was content to sit in the beautiful autumn sunshine and fish from a pier at Lake Cammack. He was an avid fisherman from the time he was a young boy. The quiet beauty of nature and the solitude of bass fishing brought much joy to his quiet and introspective soul. Being on the lake was his favorite church.

Mr. Bradley is survived by his children, Vickie Bradley Rich and her husband, Wayne, and Richard Bradley and his wife, Laurel; five grandchildren, Melissa Webb Allen, Lindsey Webb, Miranda (Steven) Lim, Samantha (Chris) Metivier and Shelley (Alex) Miller; four great grandchildren, Phillip Quinn, Porter Quinn, Sydney Allen and Astoria Lim; a sister, Lynn Wilson; a sister-in-law, Joann Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a brother, David Vernon Bradley, Jr.; and his beloved dog, “Sandy”.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Richard Silver. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 9:45 Thursday morning at the funeral home.
