Ted Vernon Johnson, 81, passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 27, 2016.
A 2:00 p.m. funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Lakeview Memorial Park in the mausoleum. The family will receive friends Monday, November 28 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel.
Ted was born May 22, 1935 in Guilford County, NC to the late Jesse and Lillie Johnson. He was retired from Lorillard as an adjuster after 35 years of service. A member of Hines Chapel, Ted enjoyed collecting tractors and Ford automobiles, especially red ones. He always enjoyed spending time at the local “Stop and Shop” talking with friends and neighbors. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
