Daisy Mae (Wade) Raisanen

December 29, 1938 ~ March 8, 2020 (age 81)

Daisy Mae Wade Raisanen, 81, passed away Sunday March 8, 2020 at her home. 

She was born December 29, 1938 in Alamance County to the late Arthur Rainey and Mary Troxler Wade and was married to the late Clarence George Raisanen. 

Daisy served in the US Air Force and retired from General Dynamics.  She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and she sang in the choir.  She was an avid gardener and a very talented artist who had several showings of her work.  She was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh.  She loved to travel and see new places. 

  She is survived by her siblings, Louise Joyner (Larry), Kathy Griffin and Harold Wade (Doris Jean); fourteen nieces and nephews, thirteen great nieces and nephews and a great great niece and nephew.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister Jessie Lee Wade Saul.

The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Shiloh United Methodist Church by Rev. David Harvin.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

  The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
