Mr. Earl  Washington Minor 


    BURLINGTON — Mr. Earl  Washington Minor , 78, of 1817 Bason Creek Road went home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at the Hospice Home. Mr. Minor  was born June 21, 1928, in Caswell County to the late William R. and Laura Terrell Minor . Mr. Minor  was a very active member of Altamahaw Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a Sunday school teacher. Mr. Minor  served his country in the U.S. Army.
    Survivors included his wife of 54 years, Margaret Barts Minor  of the home; one daughter, Bonnie Jones and her husband, Jeff of Elon; one son, Ken Minor  and his wife, Linda of Burlington; two grandchildren, Joshua Moore and Ashley Elizabeth Minor ; two sisters, Loraine Wrenn and Margaret Hooper, both of Caswell County; two brothers, Bobby Minor  of Madison and Jim Minor  of Caswell County and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Minor  was preceded in death by two brothers, Edger Minor  and Ernest Minor .
    Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb., 19, 2007, at Altamahaw Baptist Church by the Rev. Steve Tucker and the Rev. Curtis Oakley. Interment will follow at Trinity Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Feb. 18, 2007, at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the residence.
    Memorials can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
