Lillie Mae Jefferson Barts
REIDSVILLE — Mrs. Lillie Mae Jefferson Barts of 8914 Hwy. 150, Reidsville, and most recently of Blakey Hall, Elon, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 12:32 p.m. after three days critical illness. She had just celebrated her 100th birthday on December 9, 2005.
A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late James Coy Barts , and the daughter of W. L. Jefferson and Annie Lee Warren Jefferson, both deceased. She attended Thompsonville Baptist Church.
Survivors include nine daughters, Beatrice Williams, Virginia Patton, Betty Frazier, and Catherine Campbell and husband, Jimmy, all of Reidsville, Olean Somers, Margaret Minor and husband, Earl, Dorothy Gann and husband, Leo, and Ann Byrd and husband, C.G., all of Burlington and Mary Ellen Robertson and husband, Mark of Elon; a daughter-in-law, Frances Barts of Reidsville; a sister, Mamie Dyson of Reidsville; 22 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, J.C. Barts ; two sisters, Viola Lambert and Nannie Bell Dix; and three brothers, Walter, Woodrow, and Fuller Jefferson.
The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Felton Massey, the Rev. Jimmy Cain, and the Rev. Bland Lebrick. Burial will be in Trinity Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington today from 5 to 8 p.m., and at other times they will be at the residence, 8914 Hwy. 150, Reidsville.
