Margaret Minor Hooper, 82, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at her home surrounded by those she loved.
She was born on December 3, 1942 in Caswell County to the late Willie Richard and Laura Elizabeth Terrell Minor.
Margaret retired after 30 years as an instructor for the Dental Assisting Curriculum at Alamance Community College. She was also a Professor Emeritus at ACC. She was employed with Colegate Brite Smiles/ Bright Future and was the owner and operator of Hooper’s Dental Consulting.
Margaret attended Glencoe Baptist Church where she served in various areas of ministry. She was a loving and devoted mother and Memaw, supporting her family in all their pursuits and accomplishments.
She is survived by her son, Todd Hooper and wife, Sherry of Caswell County and her daughter, Nicole Smith and husband, Troy also of Caswell County; grandchildren, Hannah Hooper LaMarr and husband, Ethan, Noah Hooper and Joshua Smith; her sister, Loraine Wrenn of Caswell County and her brother, Bobby Minor of Madison; numerous nieces and nephews and special cousins, Priscilla and Glenda.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James “Big Jim” Melvin Minor, Ernest Minor, Edgar and Earl Minor; sister, Nellie Minor and a infant sister.
The family wants to thank the nurses, physicians and staff of Authoracare Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for Maragret during her illness.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 2:00PM at Glencoe Baptist Church Worship Center officiated by Rev. Darrell Massey and Rev. Noah Hooper.
The family will receive friends from 12-1:45Pm, prior to the service and other times at the home. Burial will follow at Spirit and Truth Baptist Church Cemetery.
