ELON – Pamela “Pam” Barber Summers, 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Guilford County to the late J.D. and Margaret Myers Barber and was married for 52 years to Wayne D. Summers who survives. Pam was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school and enjoyed working with children.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne, daughter, Christie Ingle (Tal); grandson, Scott Ingle (Michelle); great grandchildren, Katelyn, Rebecca, Rachel; sister, Vicky Jones (Barry) and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Denise B. Summers.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Septemeber 21, 2018 at Altamahaw Baptist Church with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
