Lola Gean Isaacs McBane
Lola Gean Isaacs McBane, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. She was born on June 17, 1944 in Alamance County to Jesse Graydon Isaacs and Lola Ellen Norman Isaacs. She had a lifetime of service as a teacher and librarian for Alamance and Orange County School Systems. She was an avid reader and conveyed her love of literature to those around her. She was of the Quaker Faith and was a member at Chatham Friends Church in Snow Camp.
She was a loving wife of 54 years to Floyd McBane. She is survived by her husband, Floyd; daughter, Ellen McBane; daughter, Nancy Washburn and husband Mark; brother, Phil Isaacs and wife Betty; brother, Terry Isaacs and wife Diane; sister, Sharon I. Greeson; granddaughter, Caitlin Brown and husband Matthew; and grandsons, Jesse Knepp, Isaac Knepp, Joshua Washburn and Josiah Washburn.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 6 until 8 p.m. Other times they will be at the residence.
A Memorial Service will be held at Chatham Friends Church, 4507 Greenhill Rd, Snow Camp, NC on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
