Brona Warren Eastwood
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Brona Warren Eastwood , 64, of 2628 Mebane Rogers Road, died at 3:56 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at home after several months of failing health.
Brona was born August 2, 1943, in Alamance County to Clyde Lee Warren Sr. and Nina Byrd Warren . She grew up in the Pleasant Grove community and was a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School class of 1962. Brona was married to James Lewis Eastwood for 45 years and 11 months. They lived in the Pleasant Grove community, where they farmed with Brona’s parents until their death in 1990 and 1992. She volunteered in Mrs. Chandler’s class at South Elementary School in Caswell County and worked at Jane Iseley’s farm before becoming ill. Brona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and neighbor whose love for others showed in her caring for her parents, the cakes, pies and home-canned goods she often shared with others because of her compassionate heart.
Survivors include her husband, James Lewis Eastwood of the home; a son, James Wayne Eastwood and wife, Darlene, of Burlington; a daughter, Jo Ann Eastwood of Burlington; a grandson, Troy Lee Matherly of Mebane; a sister, Gladys Pope of Burlington; brothers, Clyde Lee "June" Warren Jr. and wife, Betty of Burlington and Floyd David Warren and wife, Frances, Burlington; four nieces; and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by Clyde Lee Warren Sr. and Nina Byrd Warren ; and a brother, Richard Lee Warren .
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Burlington, by the Rev. Delton Agnor, pastor. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., and at other times at the residence.

The family will like to express their appreciation to Dr. Janak Choksi, the staff at the Cancer Center and Hospice for all their compassionate treatment and care of Brona .
