Genotria "Jennie" Ann Cox, was born in Kennett, Missouri,to the late Virgil Sanders and Jeweldean (Bolden) Sanders,on April 27, 1941. She later met and married Kennith Moyer and had 3 children: Kimberly, Derrick and Jared. On May 5, 2023 our beloved Mom, Jennie, went home to be with her Lord.
Jennie loved going to church throughout her life and made serving the Lord her first priority. She also loved her family and friends. Jennie never met a stranger. Her smile and bubbly personality made others feel welcomed and loved. Jennie loved tending her flower garden, playing the piano, singing and enjoying a good book, completing reading the Bible every year and praying for sunshine.
Jennie married Kennith Moyer January 5, 1967 in Kennett, MO. Kennith preceded her in death September 1, 1991. April 28, 2001 Jennie married Glenn Cox in Princeton, Il. Glenn preceded her in death September 21, 2015. Jennie was formerly of Kennett and was a sales associate at Kmart having retired from there.
Jennie was preceded in death by her sister: Carol (Sanders) LaBoube and niece: Julie Sanders.
Thank you to all her family and friends for the prayers and support throughout this journey. On behalf of the family, we would like to express our thanks and gratitude to Dr. Sirisha Jain, nurses and staff at St. Michael's Cancer Center in Silverdale, WA. You went beyond professionalism and have taken such good care of our beloved Mom/Nana. A special thank you to Apostolic Lighthouse of Port Orchard, WA. Pastor and Sister Raney and their saints have been wonderful especially these last few days. Your love and support have meant the world to us. Thank you for loving our Mom/Nana.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 17, 2023 11:00 a.m. at the United Pentecostal Church in Kennett with Reverend's Ron Townsley and Joseph Raney officiating. Burial will follow in Pine City Cemetery in Holcomb, MO. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Dakota Teague, Michael Teague, Chad Townsley, Bill Sanders, Daniel Sanders, and Jordan Booker. Honorary pallbearers: Greg Townsley and Joe Sanders.
McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett was in charge of the arrangements.
