Virginia Barts Patton


    REIDSVILLE — Virginia Barts Patton, 80, of 4278 Ashland Road, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Penn Nursing Center following a period of declining health.
    She was born in Caswell County, May 14, 1927, to the late Coy and Lillie Mae Jefferson Barts. She owned and operated Patton Family Care Home for many years. She attended Caswell County Schools and was a member of Locust Hill United Methodist Church.
    Funeral services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Harrelson Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Karen Angel and the Rev. Bland Leebrick. Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
    Survivors are sons, Larry W. Patton and wife, Amy, of Reidsville, Dennis M Patton, of Reidsville and William Frank Patton Jr. and wife, Tina, of Blanch; grandchildren, Wendy Propst and husband, Tim, Wayne Patton and wife, Amy, Conrad, Kyle, and Coy Mack Patton; one great-grandchild, Madeline Patton; sisters, Beatrice Williams of Yanceyville, Olean Somers of Burlington, Margaret Minor of Burlington, Catherine Campbell of Reidsville, Betty Frazier of Reidsville, Ann Byrd of Burlington and Mary Ellen Robertson of Burlington.
    In addition to her parents and husband, William Frank Patton, she was predeceased by a brother J.C. Barts; and a sister, Dorothy Lee Gann.
    The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harrelson Funeral Service Chapel, and at other times at the home of a son, William Frank Patton Jr. and wife Tina, 746 Caswell Pines Clubhouse Drive, Yanceyville.
