Carolyn Garrison Everett


    YANCEYVILLE — Carolyn Garrison Everett of 168 Atwater Street, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Danville Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health.

    She was born in Caswell County, to Dollie King Garrison and the Late Claude D. Garrison Sr. She was a homemaker and retired from Burlington Industries (Drapery Plant). She was a graduate of Bartlett-Yancey High School. She was active in church work all of her life, and made that the main focus of her life. Serving her family and others was what she loved most. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and was involved with the WMU.

    Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Buddy Hall and the Rev. Claude Harrelson. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

    Surviving are her husband, Clyde S. Everett of the home; her mother, Dollie King Garrison; two sisters, Mary Fuqua of Yanceyville and Deborah Cox of Pelham; two brothers, Claude Garrison Jr. of Yanceyville and Kenneth Garrison of Providence.
    The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Harrelson Funeral Home, and at other times at the residence.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Milton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 178, Milton, N.C. 27305.
