Mary Ruth Smith married Richard Leon Reynolds on November 12, 1954 in Guilford County, NC.

Mary was employed by the Wrangler division of VF Corporation in Greensboro, NC. She retired with 54 years of service having started her career at Blue Gem which was bought out by Blue Bell. Blue Bell was then acquired by VF.

Mary Ruth Reynolds, 89, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Beacon Place Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro .

A funeral service was held in her honor, at the Chapel at Tabernacle United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 5 at 1pm. The family received friends after the service in the Fellowship Hall.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Graham "Rush" Smith and Lillie Mae Smith, all 11 of her siblings and her beloved husband, Richard "Leon" Reynolds, Sr.

She was survived by her son, Richard "Rick" Leon Reynolds, Jr., daughters, Linda Reynolds Hunt (Kennie), and April Reynolds Hunt (Mark), granddaughters, Kelly Laughlin (Thad), Maighan Wright (Will), Brooke Reynolds, Ryann Chance, Ayden Chance, Rebekah Coy, and Alyssa Coy, great-granddaughter, Roxy Laughlin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was a dedicated member of the Purvis Neece Sunday School Class and a follower of Christ. She loved Jesus! In her earlier years, Mary enjoyed window shopping every Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tabernacle UMC and Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro.

Forbis & Dick of Pleasant Garden served the Reynolds family.
