Doris Baker Madren Patterson BURLINGTON — Mrs. Doris Baker Madren Patterson, 71, of Cedar Ridge Retirement Community, died at the Hospice Home on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at 3:40 p.m., following one year of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Jerry Madren and daughter of Worth Baker and Mary McVey Baker, both deceased. Doris was a homemaker and a member of Riverview Baptist Church.
Survivors include four children, Gerald Madren and wife Tammy, Kathryn Watterson, Daryl Jerry Madren and Stephanie Patterson; two grandchildren, April Vuncannon and Brittany Ridgeway; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Dockery and McKenzie Le-Grande; and a special family friend, William Tom Patterson.
She was preceded in death by four siblings, Betty Jean Snead, Winfred Baker,Lindsey
Baker and Brody “Buddy” Baker.
A memorial service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Don Pegg. The family will greet friends following the service.
