Nancy Katherine Gilliam ''Nana' Cobb of 3728 High Rock Road in Gibsonville, born December 22, 1933, died January 11, 1996, at the age of 62.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Peace Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Cobb was born in Alamance County and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She recently retired after 30 years of service as a secretary with the Guilford County Schools, having served McLeansville, Madison and Gibsonville schools. She was a member of G.C.A.E.O.P. and had served in the Ladies Fire Auxiliary. She will be remembered by many as a loving wife, mother, ''Nana' aunt, and devoted friend.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Voigt W. ''V.W.' Cobb Jr. of the home; daughters, Karen C. Carroll and Amy C. Underwood, both of Gibsonville; sons, Voigt W. Cobb III of Gibsonville and David T. Cobb of Tallahassee, Fla.; sisters, Juanita Loy of Elon College, Polly Melton of Monroe and Cleo Harris of Burlington; brothers, Tommy Gilliam of Burlington and Hoyt ''John' Gilliam of Boone; grandchildren, Nathan Carroll, Jade Cobb, Justin Patterson, Meredith Carroll, Jeremy Cobb and D. Thomas Cobb II.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nettie Oliver Gilliam and Thomas E. Gilliam Sr.; sister, Patricia Shackelford and brother, Oliver Gilliam.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Nancy Gilliam Cobb Memorial Scholarship Fund through any Branch Banking and Trust.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Funeral Home.
