BURLINGTON — Betty Love Boone died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at Hospice Home of Alamance Caswell.
Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerrell “Pit” Boone; her daughters and their families, Lorri Boone Naylor her husband Craig and their daughter Kristina, of Tampa, Florida, Tammy King, her husband David and their daughter Emilee, of Gibsonville, Tracy Abbatecola, her husband Ron, and their daughters, Jessica and Jenna and sons, Brandon and Anthony, of Gibsonville; and niece, Lynn Carver and her husband James, of Georgia; a stepsister, Barbara Ann Lowe of Burlington.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Scott Love and Vannie Mae Whitley; brother, Joe; and sisters, Gerry Harris and Peggy Love.
Betty was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and served as the Choir Director for over 33 years. She retired from Lucent Technologies (Western Electric) where she sang in the Wenoco Chorus. Betty was a loving mother, faithful wife and steadfast friend to all in her community and graced everyone with her gorgeous voice.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at Fairview United Methodist Church by the Rev. Terry Huffines. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends and condolences at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 6 until 8 p.m. and other times at the residence
