94 Years Old

Jack Donald Troutman, 94, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center Saturday, February 25, 2023.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Betty Darelene Richmond Troutman, and the son of John W. Troutman and Ida Summers Troutman, both deceased.

He retired from AT&T after 20 years of service and later went to work with Carolina Aluminum and Dominion Yarns. Jack was a Boy Scout leader for many years and was a Master Mason with the Bula Lodge 409 A7 & AM for 29 years, Burlington Shrine Club for 25 years, and Burlington Moose Lodge for several years. He was member of Davis Street United Methodist Church. He was a US Navy Veteran and was involved with coaching youth sports for many years.

He is survived by two sons, Don Troutman and wife Marjie of Greensboro and Jeff Troutman of Burlington; grandson, Ryan Troutman and wife Jamie of Raleigh; and two great grandchildren, Piper and Sawyer

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Troutman Grissom, Louise Troutman Barringer; and three brothers, Hal Troutman, Fred Troutman and John Troutman, Jr.

A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm prior to the graveside service.

The family would like to thank Jack’s caregivers, Glenda, Rosita and Delante for the wonderful care given to him.
