Daughter of John Cook. Name of mother is unknown. The date and place of birth of John Cook is unknown. We do not know how many times he may have married. We do know that he had at least two vives.

The date of her marriage to Henry C. Greeson is inscribed on her gravestone. The place of marriage was probably in Bedford County, Tennessee. Elizabeth's brother Christian Cook married in Bedford County in the same year. The oldest children born to Elizabeth and Henry were born in Bedford County.

The exact place of death of Elizabeth is unknown. Elizabeth is listed in the household of her son David C. Greeson on the 1880 census of Hardin County, Tennesee. However, she is also listed in the household of her son Henry C. Greeson on the 1880 census of Wayne County, Tennessee. It was the custom of the day that a widowed lady would live with first one of her children and then the other. It is evident the she died in either Hardin or Wayne County.

Elizabeth was the mother of six proven children.

A number of online family trees list her with the nickname Betsy. There is no record or family tradition that gives her a nickname. She is only listed as Elizabeth.
