Mary Louise Woody Smith


    GRAHAM — Mary Louise Woody Smith, 81, of 957 Woody Drive, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at the Hospice Home after two months of failing health.
    A native of Guilford County, she was a retired legal secretary with Shoffner & Mosley and a member of Graham Presbyterian Church.
    Survivors include her husband, Walter Freeman Smith, of the home; daughters, Donna Smith Rimer and husband, Curt, of Mebane, Kathy Smith Cain and husband, Jerry, of Sophia; sons, Terry Lynn Smith and wife, Paula, of Dayton, Ohio, Phillip Woody Smith and Claire Stadtmuller, of Greenwich, Conn.; special granddaughter, Heather Michelle Smith, of Graham; grandchildren, Michael Alan Rimer, of Mebane, Andrew Jarrett Smith, of Dayton, Ohio, Johnathan Thomas Arnold, of Decatur, Ga., Wyatt Woody Smith and Fiona Virginia Smith, both of Ridgewood, N.J.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Grace Siegner Woody; grandsons, Kenneth James Dawkins and Crafton Thomas (Sonny) Dawkins.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Graham Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Steve Braswell and the Rev. Jeanne Neal. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
    The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 until 8 Saturday evening and at other times at the residence.
