Callie “Dubie” Mitchell Wrenn


    BURLINGTON — Callie “Dubie” Mitchell Wrenn, 74, of 214 Willow Ave., died at the Hospice Home in Burlington on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 7:58 p.m. after a brief illness.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Willard Lee “Bull” Wrenn and the daughter of the late Robert Ford Mitchell and the late Mary Lue Hensley Mitchell. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and a retired textile worker.
    She is survived by four sons, Billy Wrenn and his wife Martha of Red Oak, IA, Phillip Wrenn of Richmond, VA, David Wrenn of Jacksonville, FL, and Joe Wrenn and his wife Melody of Mebane; seven grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.
    In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Stinson Thompson.
    The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. by Dr. Terry Farmer. Burial will follow the service at Alamance Memorial
Park.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times, they will be at the residence of her son, Joe Wrenn, 2741 N. NC Hwy 119, Mebane.
    Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mebane, 301 South Third Street, Mebane, NC 27302-2617.
