William Clark Vance, 78, of Graham passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Peggy Vance, who survives and the son of Stokes Vance and Ora Hurt Vance, both deceased. He was a former member of the National Guard and retired after 25 years of service at GKN. William was a member of Shamrock Evangelical Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a son, Jeffrey Alan Vance and wife Natalie of Mebane; daughter, Sherry Vance Wyble Campbell and husband Troy of Greensboro; two granddaughters; four step-grandsons; five step-granddaughters; and several loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. by Pastor Brian Wardlaw with the family receiving friends from 6:00 until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service.
